Finn Slough is a tiny fishing community founded by Finnish settlers in the 1890s and located by the Fraser River in Richmond, British Columbia.
Of course I had to see this place, being Finnish and all.. Finding it proved to be more problematic though, as I discovered not a single person in Richmond had actually heard of the place! But after consulting google maps and walking a few kilometres in the slightly warm midday sun I found myself next to a building with the word “sisu” on the wall..
